Torstar Digital approached Filament Creative to help them freshen up their identity and breath new life into a company that was sitting in the shadow of its parent company. After a number of attempts, what worked best was brighten up the corporate colours and give the logo a bit of depth and dimension. The result is something that isn't a complete departure from the success of its parent company and lends credibility to the younger more experimental off spring. The website creation was no different. The goal was to create a presence that was both fresh and established. The use of flash and the colour palette really gave this site an innovative approach while not going too overboard. We kept the layout fairly tame but did well to ensure some dynamism.
