The Canadian Hotspot Roaming Alliance (CHRA), is comprised of Rogers, FIdo, Telus, Bell and smaller third party wireless providers. The goal of the alliance was a collective effort to help bring WiFi to the forefront in Canada. Rather than competing against each other and segment the market, it was mutually beneficial for all to work together. This result of this collaboration produced the "Connection Corner" - a Standard method of connecting a user to a wifi network while billing your wireless cellphone provider. The idea was to have every hotspot, regardless of the carrier, to function in the same way. Adoption occurred very quickly and soon a listing of all the hotspot locations was required. canadianhotspot.ca is the single source to locate every hotspot operated by Rogers, Bell, Telus and Fido.
